Description
Do you walk, jog or cycle and never know how far you go? Are you
training for a race and have specific running goals? Use
Runningmap to call up a map (diagram or satelite view) of your
area and simply click along your route. The distance will be
calculated for you. Click on the elevation button to see an
elevation profile of your route. Drag the route points around to
adjust your route. Add a point of interest marker or photo to
your route. Save your route and get a unique web address
(permalink) for your route that your can email or blog. Search
for other routes in your area.
Runningmap.com is the
premiere running mashup on the web. The combination of Yahoo!
Maps and Flash makes it a stellar perfomer compared to Google
Maps based mashups. The richness of the Flash platform (combined
with skilled developers) makes it possible to build a great user
experience.
Information (version) Many new features and optimizations: metric/imperial
units, elevation, point of interest markers, add photos from
flickr or URL, search, customization line colors, icon buttons
with tool tips, save as permalinks with tags, print, delete
mid-route points, route milestones, click on an elevation point
to center to route point
